World Vision fundraising fast
For several years, Acoaxet youth have participated in a fundraising fast, with a goal of raising awareness, empathy and financial support for the starving children in the World Vision program. This period of self-sacrifice not only helps the needy children, but also develops the character of our kids.
BACKPACK DONATIONS
Our youth and members of our fellowship also participate in an outreach every fall to provide backpacks filled with school supplies to area kids in need.
Mission team
For the past several years, a vibrant team of Acoaxet congregants have had the privilege of serving God’s family on a week long Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic. The team works alongside other churches to build structures, provide medical services, care for children, teach life skills, and provide countless material needs.
This ministry is contagious! From the first Acoaxet members traveling to the Domincan in 2006, the group grows year by year. For the February 2020 trip we had 10 members join a group of missionaries from all over the country.
2022 Dominican Mission Trip to La Romana
Plans for our mission team to go to La Romana in February 2022 are underway.
Anyone who would like to join the team in any capacity is welcome, support of all kinds will be greatly appreciated.
